Luzzati.Posters and editorial graphics 1947 |2007

The exhibition, the first of its kind, is arranged into sections according to periods, themes and techniques, starting in the 1940s and ending in 2007 with the last poster created for the Sanremo Festival.

More than a hundred posters designed by the Master for theatre shows - events (animated film festivals), cities, games, exhibitions (pottery, illustration, design, installations), cultural events (conferences) - illustrate the eclectic composition possibilities offered by calligraphy and images. Lettering blends into figures, and images.

On display for the first time is Luzzati's first poster created for the Jewish Theatre in 1947, on a yellow background with the figure of a violin player, somehow inspired by Chagall. The sections are divided by graphic style, content and items (boxes, wardrobes, characters, objects). The exhibition also features theater programmes, invitation and greeting cards, covers for magazines and books, company gadgets, sundry items, prizes and other works by Luzzati, some published here for the first time.

"Luzzati.Posters and editorial graphics 1947 | 2007" will be held at casa luzzati from 10th march through 4th september 2022.
