Education
Casa Luzzati’s educational programme is rooted in the vision and creative methodology developed by Emanuele Luzzati.
The Education Department, Il Cantiere delle Arti (Arts Workshop), curated by Antonio Crugliano and Francesca Parodi, has developed a programme of projects and activities that includes guided tours and in-depth learning sessions linked to the exhibitions and collections of the Lele Luzzati Foundation, practical workshops exploring artistic techniques and creative languages for schools, artist-led workshops, and hands-on creative activities that encourage children and their families to take an active part in the life of Casa Luzzati.
These educational programmes are also delivered beyond Casa Luzzati, in schools of all levels and other educational settings.

History
The Accademia Artigiana della Fantasia (Craft Academy of Imagination) was founded in 2006 within the Luzzati Museum at Porta Siberia, inspired by Lele Luzzati’s vision of the museum as a place for experimentation, play, encounter and learning.
Its educational approach was based on the artistic techniques that Luzzati explored throughout his career across different creative disciplines, transforming them into engaging, hands-on learning experiences through practical workshops.
The Education Department has worked to make the museum a place where art and education meet. Through dedicated programmes, it has engaged a wide range of audiences—not only schools, but also teachers, families, university students, associations and people with disabilities. Each year, the museum welcomed around 13,000 participants through activities held both on-site and in external venues.

Summer Campus

TOUR TURANDOT
A Journey Around the World Through a Story
This year’s Summer Campus celebrates the 100th anniversary of Turandot. Together, we will explore the animated film created by Giulio Gianini and Lele Luzzati, while discovering new characters, cultures and themes each week. Through a wide range of materials and techniques inspired by the applied arts, children will experiment, create and learn in a fun and engaging environment.

Dates From 15 June to 31 July and from 31 August to 11 September.

Registration
The Summer Campus is open to children aged 5 and over.
Registration must be completed no later than the week preceding the selected session.
Advance booking is required, subject to availability.

Weekly Programme
Monday – Casa Luzzati and activities around the city
Tuesday – Excursions (exhibitions, parks and off-site workshops)
Wednesday – Casa Luzzati and activities around the city
Thursday – Swimming at Gruppo Sportivo Aragno Pool, Prà
Friday – Casa Luzzati and activities around the city
What to Bring
Each child should bring:
Comfortable clothing - Packed lunch and two snacks - A refillable water bottle - Sun hat - Picnic blanket or towel for lunch outdoors - Waterproof jacket in case of rain. On Thursdays, everything needed for the swimming pool

Fees
€150 per week.
€140 per week for siblings.
It is also possible to enrol for three individual days, subject to availability, at a cost of €120 per child. The fee includes all scheduled activities, guided exhibition visits, museum workshops and swimming pool admission. Bus and train tickets are not included.

Artist Workshops

Il Cantiere delle Arti (Arts Workshop) also offers a programme of workshops for enthusiasts of the applied arts, covering a wide range of disciplines, from miniature stage design and modelling to woodworking, scenic painting and much more. The workshops take place on Thursdays from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm and are led by stage designers and artists from Il Cantiere delle Arti, some of whom worked alongside Lele Luzzati himself. Special workshops are also organised throughout the year with guest artists, including printmakers, paper artists and specialists, stage designers and calligraphers. The 2026 season concluded in April and will resume in October, following the summer break.
